We’re in the homestretch of the 2009 fall season as many television shows have started to
take their holiday break. But not The Big Bang Theory. The comedy still has a couple of episodes before bidding 2009 goodbye. Unfortunately, TBBT won’t be on this week but will be back next week December 7. Here’s what we can look forward to in the episode entitled The Athens Recurrence, season 3 episode 10 (s03e10): Sheldon attempts to help Penny understand Leonard’s work, and Wolowitz becomes jealous when Leonard starts hanging out with his new girlfriend.

What’s in store for us in the next installment of The Big Bang Theory. In the episode entitled The Creepy Candy Coating Corollary, Sheldon enters a trading-card competition when he hears Wil Wheaton, for whom he harbors resentment, is also participating. Meanwhile, Wolowitz asks Penny to set him up with one of her friends. Sounds like another winner to me. The Big Bang Theory has been dishing out one hilarious episode after another, thanks
to the antics of these geeks, and season 3 episode 5 (s03e05) promises to be another good one.

A problem with immigration is what one of our characters faces in the next episode of The Big Bang Theory. Who else but Raj? It seems that he will be sent to back to India unless he finds a job. Will employment under Sheldon suffice? To the immigration authorities it might but not to our other friends on The Big Bang Theory. The Pirate Solution is the title of this story and it promises to be another hilarious one. Here are more details about season 3 episode 4 (s03e04) airing next Monday: “Facing a return to India, Raj needs a job desperately enough to consider working for Sheldon. Meanwhile, Howard becomes a third
wheel to Leonard and Penny.”

Get ready to laugh your head off as The Big Bang Theory returns to television with its third season offering. Yup, the geeks are back to entertain us with an initial episode entitled The Electric Can Opener Fluctuation. Oh my goodness, another one of those geeky titles. What’s in store for us in the premiere episode? Here is is: “Sheldon flies back to Texas in disgrace when he learns the guys tampered with his arctic expedition data, forcing the guys to follow him and threatening Leonard’s hopes for a romantic encounter with Penny.”

Sheldon flies back to Texas in disgrace when he learns the guys tampered with his arctic expedition data, forcing the guys to follow him and threatening Leonard’s hopes for a romantic encounter with Penny.

After their return home from their three-month expedition in the North Pole, Sheldon finds out from Howard and Raj that the guys had tampered with his experiment because Sheldon was absolutely unbearable when he wasn’t getting the results he wanted. They tell him about their use of an electric can opener to give Sheldon positive results, thereby causing Sheldon to believe he has made a Nobel Prize-winning discovery. Unfortunately, Sheldon had immediately emailed everyone at Caltech about his discovery before Howard and Raj could tell him what had happened. Sheldon is so disgraced that he resigns and moves back in with his mother (played by Laurie Metcalf), who lives in east Texas. Mrs. Cooper calls Leonard and tells them that they should come talk to Sheldon. Upon the guys’ arrival, Sheldon is intent on staying in Texas. However, he shortly has a disagreement with his mother about creationism versus evolution and decides to return home.

Meanwhile, Penny has been harboring feelings for Leonard, which are released almost as soon as he comes home. Leonard’s “moments” with her are constantly interrupted, and he “cannot catch a break.” They finally sleep together at the end of the episode (Leonard finally “catches his break”) and Leonard asks why it’s always weird after friends sleep together and why they have to label it as such – “it just is what it is.” Penny interrupts him saying “it’s weird” and he replies “Totally.”
