On October 26, UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar pulled out of his fight against Shane Carwin due to an illness that has kept him from training for several weeks. The UFC therefore had the Ortiz vs Griffin fight headline the UFC 106 card. But the big question about this match up is, will Forrest Griffin be able to bounced back from his defeat in the hands of Anderson Silva only a couple of months ago? Griffin was given a one-sided beating like never before in his career on August 8 when he was knocked down three times and stopped in just 3:23. After the loss, Griffin ran from the ring to the back and disappeared from public view for a while. Has he recovered from this loss? That’s what we are going to find out in less than 48 hours as Griffin faces Ortiz in UFC 106. (UPDATE: This is the SOPCAST channel for these fights sop://broker.sopcast.com:3912/24267)

Will Kimbo Slice be given another chance to redeem himself in the Ultimate Fighter 10? Though Matt Mitrione is out of the hospital, hit fitness for his quarterfinal match is still uncertain and that only means one thing, the window of opportunity seems to be opening ever so slightly in Kimbo Slice’s favor. watch The Ultimate Fighter 10 episode 9: Rattled, TUF s10e09
Nov 11th
Will Kimbo Slice get another chance in The Ultimate Fighter 10 after being eliminated earlier? That’s looks to be the case especially after watching the preview video below. The footage shows Matt Mitrione being sent to the hospital for an undisclosed ailment, and Kimbo Slice seemingly celebrating. Is this really what it looks like or is it just a come on? We’ll find out soon enough when episode 9 airs later this week. My bet is Kimbo will be in,
and that’s another plus for the ratings of the reality series (Was it planned/scripted this way? Hmm.)
In the meantime, here is a recap of the previous episode of The Ultimate Fighter which gives us the match ups for the quarterfinals:
* Brendan Schaub draws an insulting caricature of Marcus Jones. Mike Wessel later adds “sucks balls” to the bottom of the picture which angers Jones.
* Darrill Schoonover again squares up to Rampage over his repeated “titties” jibes.
* Marcus Jones defeats Mike Wessel by submission (armbar) in the first round.
* Dana White and the two coaches meet with each quarter finalist to find out who their preferred opponent in the next round would be.
* The quarter final fights are announced as: Roy Nelson vs. Justin Wren | Brendan Schaub vs. Jon Madsen | James McSweeney vs. Matt Mitrione | Marcus Jones vs. Darrill Schoonover
* Rashad offers Team Rampage members the chance to train with him and later, Rashad and Rampage clash once more.
