Pants on the Ground from American Idol (with Talking Carl)
http://go.tagjag.com/talkingcarl – http://twitter.com/chrispirillo – Pants on the Ground!!!! Lookin’ like a fool with your pants on the ground!!!! If you aren’t walking around singing this, I have a feeling you soon will be. This catchy (and hilarious!) song was sung on American Idol tonight, by General Larry Platt. This 62-year-old gentleman may very well have earned a place in history with this self-written tune of his! I couldn’t resist. I admit that I love the song already as well. Who wouldn’t? It’s funny, it’s catchy… and the dude has a point! My iPhone friend Talking Carl helped me along the way. http://chris.pirillo.com – http://geeks.pirillo.com – http://www.lockergnome.net

She has come a long way from finishing fourth in American Idol. Prior to Idol, Iraheta won the Telemundo competition Quinceañera: Mamá Quiero Ser Artista. Iraheta has been frequently praised for her powerful vocals and her distinctive “rock star” image. Following the conclusion of Idol, Iraheta was signed to a record deal with 19 Entertainment and Jive Records. And out of this venture came her debut single Friday I’ll be Over U which was released on October 5, 2009 and was made available through digital distribution on November 3, 2009. Her debut album, Just Like You, will come out on December 1.
Now comes the official music video of Friday I’ll Be Over U (lyrics below). Allison Iraheta debuted the official video of Friday I’ll Be Over U and it is posted below. Also posted are the lyrics to Friday I’ll Be Over U for your reference.

Oh Yeah!
Monday, Tuesday, We’re were cool!
Wednesday, I felt about you!
Caught my heart by telling lies!
You work what you appetite!
But silly me to believe.
I was unique!
When I’m done, you put all the show.
Oh, you gotta go!
Cause what’s true, about you!
Who are you when I’m gone?
Wanted to be with you.
Don’t know but I was on.
Cause you got me to forget me.
Oh you know that’s true.
Yeah you got me to forget me
So Friday I’ll be over you!
Oh Yeah!
No No I ain’t gonna cry!
Go and be with her tonight!
I really don’t care what you do!
Cause Friday I’ll be over you!
And silly me to believe
I was unique
When I’m done you put all the show!
Oh, You gotta got!
Cause what’s true about you
Who are you when I’m gone?
Wanted to be with you?
Don’t know but I was on!
Cause you got me to forget me
Oh you know that’s true!
Yeah you get me to forget me!
So Friday I’ll be over you!
Oh Yeah! Oh Yeah!
And Silly me to believe..
When I’m done you put on a show…
Oh You know that’s true!
Oh Oh!!
Cause you get me to forget me
Oh! Yeah you get me to forget me
So Friday I’ll be over you
Cause what’s true about you
Who are you when I’m gone?
Wanted to be with you
Don’t know but I was on
Cause you get me to forget me
Oh you know that’s true
Yeah you get me to forget me

debut single: Adam Lambert Time for Miracles video / lyrics
Oct 10th
“We wanted to match how epic the film is. We want the song to really reach out and grab people by the heart. So, it’s definitely the focus.” That’s how Adam Lambert described his debut single to be released very soon. And the film he is talking about is no other than 2012, the disaster film set to open in 2010 where the single Time for Miracles is part of the soundtrack.
Anticipation for Adam Lambert’s first single is high after his phenomenal performances during and since American Idol where he emerged as the top favorite and first runner up. There have been
rumors earlier as to what this debut single would be until it was announced that Time for Miracles will be it. According to a Wikipedia entry, Time for Miracles is composed by Adam Lambert himself and will be released on October 20. It will be available on Amazon on October 16. (Correction: As noted by Bo below, the song is composed by Enio Morricone and not by Adam Lambert as noted in the Wikipedia entry.)
Eager to see the music video of Time for Miracles by Adam Lambert? Watch the Adam Lambert Time for Miracles video snippet below. It’s just a teaser taken from the film 2012 showing several powerful scenes from the movie. The Time for Miracles lyrics will be available soon. As always, you will find Time for Miracles lyrics by Adam Lambert (as well as the official music video) here when they become available. Please check back for it.
Time for Miracles Lyrics
It’s late at night and I can’t sleep
Missing you just runs too deep
Oh I can’t breathe thinking of your smile
Every kiss you can’t forget
This aching heart ain’t broken yet
Oh God I wish I could make you see
Cuz I know this flame isn’t dying
So nothing can stop me from trying
Baby you know that
Maybe it’s time for miracles
Cuz I ain’t giving up on love
You know that
Maybe it’s time for miracles
Cuz I ain’t giving up on love
No I ain’t giving up on us
I just want to be with you
Cuz living is so hard to do
When all I know is trapped inside your eyes
The future I cannot forget
This aching heart ain’t broken yet
Oh God I wish I could make you see
Cuz I know this flame isn’t dying
So nothing can stop me from trying
Baby you know that
Maybe it’s time for miracles
Cuz I ain’t giving up on love
You know that
Maybe it’s time for miracles
Cuz I ain’t giving up on love
No I ain’t giving up on us
Baby can you feel it(feel it)
You know I can hear it(hear it)
So can you feel it feel it….
You know it’s time….
Baby you know that
Maybe it’s time for miracles
Cuz I ain’t giving up on love
You know that
Maybe it’s time for miracles
Cuz I ain’t giving up on love
You know I ain’t giving up on us
You know I ain’t giving up on
Oh I ain’t giving up on us

Alexis Cohen death: American Idol season 8 contestant, dead
Jul 26th
Former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen is dead. Alexis who? Her name does not immediately ring a bell even for an Idol fan like myself. But once the YouTube video of her audition starts, the memories come flooding in, mostly unfavorable scenes of her meltdown and displays of her weird persona.
She kept trying to get in to American Idol. From the videos I have posted below, she auditioned for seasons 7 and 8, both unsuccessfully. It’s not that she didn’t have the talent for the reality based competition show, she showed glimpses of promise
especially in her season 7 audition. But the weirdness of her personality overpowered everything else she put on display. As such, she was not taken seriously. Who would? In season 7, she came made up like a glittering clown. And when she didn’t make it, her meltdown was priceless! The following year, though she looked normal enough, her Buddhist chant before her audition turned almost everyone off, not to mention the memory of her antics the previous year. She could have landed in the next round were it not for her weirdness.
Alexis Cohen’s body was found on the street by passers by who called 911. Initial reports say she may have been a victim of a hit and run. Rest in peace, Alexis.
Update: A man has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in the death of Alexis Cohen. 23-year-old Daniel Bark was booked on charges of death by reckless driving as well as leaving the scene of an accident.

Dial Idol predictions, May 13, 2009: who will be voted off tonight?
May 14th
Who will get voted off on American Idol tonight (May 13, 2009)? What are the Dial Idol results? What are Dial Idol’s predictions for tonight’s American Idol eliminations? We’re in the homestretch of American Idol season 8 and just about at this time everybody gets nervous, especially with only three contestants remaining and one is about to get voted off.
Dial Idol to the rescue! Dial Idol has been a good help in predicting the results of these situations. By measuring the busy signal during the voting period of American Idol, they statistically predict the outcome of the voting. It was 97% accurate in its predictions on who would be voted off during American Idol season 7. Moreover, Dial Idol has accurately predicted every American Idol winner for every season it has covered. With a track record like that, it’s easy to understand why so many Idol fans are relying on its predictions.
For this season, the competition is too tough. Adam Lambert was touted to be unbeatable until he landed in the bottom three two weeks ago. And now that he, Kris Allen and Danny Gokey seem to be locked in a fierce battle for the top two spots, it’s Dial Idol to the rescue once again.
Season 8 Dial Idol Predictions: May 13, 2009
Top 3 eliminations night
So without much further ado, here are the results of Dial Idol’s “snooping”: It’s too close to call. Though Adam Lambert is leading with a Dial Idol score of 29.55 vs Kris Allen’s 27.99 and Danny Gokey’s 27.1, the margin for error for scores as close as these are big. But the trend seems to be going in Lambert’s favor. Let’s just wait for the final announcement tonight to see if Dial Idol is right again.

American Idol Top 3/Final 3 results: Goodbye, Allison Iraheta
May 7th
Who got voted off American Idol tonight (5/6/09)? Who got eliminated from American Idol May 6? Who are the Top 3 / Final 3 of 2009? I’m afraid it’s goodbye to Allison Iraheta of Los Angeles as she was eliminated tonight. Despite a relatively strong performance in last night’s Rock Week performances, singing “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin, she got the least number of votes from the viewers of the popular reality-competition show. That leaves an all-male Top 3 for 2009: Adam Lambert, a 27-year-old theater actor originally from San Diego; Danny Goeky, a 29-year-old church music director from Milwaukee; and Kris Allen, a 23-year-old college student from Conway, Ark.
I was hoping for Allison Iraheta to be in the Final 3 but it was not to be. The last two were Danny Gokey and Allison and I was crossing my fingers that Danny would be voted off. His performance of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” last night was horrendous and I was hoping the voters would take that into account. But no, they still voted off Allison Iraheta.
This week, the three singers will travel to their hometowns before performing next week. Everyone’s singing two songs – one that the judges pick, the other their personal favorite. Kris Allen has got to sing his head off next week to get into the final two, otherwise it’s gonna be the expected Adam Lambert vs. Danny Gokey showdown. Let’s hope it will be Adam vs. Kris in the finals.

No Surprise Lyrics and Video by Chris Daughtry band
May 7th
Chris Daughtry and his band (named Daughtry) performed their new song on American Idol at last night Top 4 results show. Entitled “No Surprise”, the song is their first single from their second studio album entitled “Leave This Town”. Chris Daughtry wrote this song with Chad Kroeger from Nickelback, in addition to Eric Dill and Rune Westberg.
Already, “No Surprise” by Daughtry has had great success. The band began streaming “No Surprise” on their official website, the evening of May 5, 2009. The song was made available on iTunes May 5, and will officially impact U.S. radio on May 6, 2009. This is a great follow up to the band’s self-titled (Daughtry) first album which was the biggest selling album of 2007 with
sales of more than 4,422,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. At the American Idol results show last night, Ryan Seacrest awarded Chris Daughtry a commemorative plaque for selling 5 million units.
Daughtry was not the only performer at American idol last night. No Doubt together with Gwen Stefani also performed, as well as Paula Abdul who performed her latest single entitled “I’m Just Here for the Music”. This performance, however, has been panned online because Paula Abdul was reportedly lip syncing.
Posted below are the lyrics of “No Surprise” as well as a video of their American Idol performance.
No Surprise Lyrics by Chris Daughtry
I’ve practiced this for hours, gone round and round
And now I think that I’ve got it all down
And as I say it louder I love how it sounds
Cause I’m not taking the easy way out
Not wrapping this in ribbons
Shouldn’t have to give a reason why…It’s NO SURPRISE I won’t be here tomorrow
I can’t believe that I stayed till today
Yeah you and I will be a tough act to follow
But I know in time we’ll find this was NO SURPRISEIt came out like a river once I let it out
When I thought that I wouldn’t know how
Held onto it forever just pushing it down
Felt so good to let go of it now
Not wrapping this in ribbons
Shouldn’t have to give a reason whyIt’s NO SURPRISE I won’t be here tomorrow
I can’t believe that I stayed till today
There’s nothing here in this heart left to borrow
There’s nothing here in this soul left to say
Don’t be surprised when we hate this tomorrow
God know we tried to find an easier way
Yeah you and I will be a tough act to follow
But I know in time we’ll find this was NO SURPRISEOur favorite place we used to go
The warm embrace that no one knows
The loving look that’s left your eyes
That’s why this comes as no, as NO SURPRISEIf I could see the future and how this plays out
I bet it’s better than where we are now
But after going through this, it’s easier to see the reason whyIt’s NO SURPRISE I won’t be here tomorrow
I can’t believe that I stayed till today
Yeah you and I will be a tough act to follow
But I know in time we’ll find this was NO SURPRISEThe kiss goodnight, it comes with me
Both wrong and right, our memories
The whispering before we sleep, just one more thing that you can’t keep
Our favorite place we used to go
The warm embrace that no one knows
The loving look that’s left your eyes
But I know in time we’ll find this was NO SURPRISE

Paula Abdul Here for the Music on American Idol: Lip Sync?
May 7th
Paula Abdul performed her new song (I’m Just) Here for the Music on American Idol (video below) last night but was she lip-syncing? Sure looks like it. Paula was part of a number of performers who graced American Idol eliminations last night. The other two were Chris Daughtry and his band singing “No Surprise” and No Doubt with Gwen Stefani singing their 1995 “Just a Girl”.
But the big question in everyone’s mind as they watch the show was, “Was Paula Abdul lip-syncing?” Even Twitter as abuzz with activity on the topic. Here are some of their comments:
Paula Abdul’s AI performance makes Britney’s lip syncing look authentic (didnt watch but sounds as bad as expected.)
Idol was good tonight, although I could have done without the Paula Abdul lip synch. Really now, a pitch perfect voice upside down? Yeah
if you’re watching a Paula Abdul performance for the singing, you need to straighten out your priorities.
What did you think of Paula Abdul’s Lip Syncing? Hint
aula stop singing, it was bad..lol
can we vote Paula Abdul off of American Idol?
WTF paula abdul?? Britney’s vma disaster was less embarassing!!!
paula abdul was DEFINITELY lip syncing. completelyy obvious!
I agree that Paula was indeed lip-syncing. But then again, she was never known as a good vocalist so I guess we shouldn’t be surprised. In fact, I think most of her performances during her heyday were lip-synced. I wonder what Simon thinks of Paula’s performance?

Chris Daughtry “No Surprise” on American Idol 5/6 (video)
May 7th
Chris Daughtry and his band was one of the performers at last night’s American Idol performing their latest single “No Surpsie”. Watch the video of their performance below. Alongside Chris Daughtry, Paula Abdul also performed her latest single “(I’m Just) Here for the Music” as well as No Doubt with their lead singer Gwen Stefani.
It was elimination night on American Idol last night as we said goodbye to Allison Iraheta. Allison was voted off after receiving the least number of votes from the viewers. Included in the bottom half of the four finalists was Danny Gokey. At first I thought it was going to be Gokey who would say goodbye to us as his performance of Aerosmith’s “Dream On” was awful. But the viewers
had other ideas. Gokey joins Adam Lambert and Kris Allen in the American Idol Top 3 for 2009.
The three finalists go home to their respective hometowns this week before returning to perform two songs for the judges next week. I hope to see Kris Allen and Adam Lambert in the finals. How about you?
