Accidentally on Purpose has shown a lot promise in its first two installments of the season. It has created a lot of buzz on the web though not as loud a buzz as the other sitcom rookie Cougar Town. For its next episode entitled One Night Stand, Billie realizes that she has become more attractive in spite of her condition. However, pregnancy hast its disadvantages as well and that’s what she will realize later. For more about season 2 episode 3 (s01e03), here are some spoilers: “Billie realizes that men find her more attractive despite her pregnancy. Even Zack sees her curves as a turn-on. Billie makes the move on him, but is
turned away by Zack following an untoward incident involving suntan lotion.”

“After breaking up with her commitment-phobic boyfriend, Billie has a fling with a younger guy, ends up pregnant and decides to keep the baby – and the daddy.” That is the gist of Accidentally on Purpose, a new television sitcom starring Jenna Elfman of Dharma and Greg fame. Based on the show’s plot summary below, the new sitcom looks promising enough. Scheduled on a Monday against such comedy biggies as Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother, let’s just hope it makes enough of an impact to last at least one season.

Accidentally on Purpose will follow Billie, a San Francisco movie critic in her 30s, who gets pregnant after an affair with a man named Zack (Jon Foster) who is in his 20s. To make matters more complicated, Billie has decided to keep both her baby and her new beau. And on top of that, she just broke up with her boss, James, who wants to resume their relationship after being humiliated.

Thanks to this unexpected arrival, Billie and Zack have agreed to live together platonically. While Billie receives encouragement and advice from her party girl best friend Olivia and her conventional younger married sister Abby, she also has to deal with Zack’s freeloading friend Davis, among others, when they start turning her place into a frat house, leaving Billie to question whether she’s living with a boyfriend, a roommate, or if she just has a second child to raise.

Billie Chase is a successful 30-something movie critic living in San Francisco who has just broken up with her boyfriend, James, a very wealthy media mogul who is also her boss. She ends up rebounding with a much younger man, Zack, who at 22 years of age is just starting out on his career as a chef. Billie and Zack’s fling takes a serious turn when Billie discovers she is pregnant. Not knowing what the future has in store for her, Billie decides to keep the baby and raise it by herself if necessary. However, Zack decides to step up and help Billie with the baby and after Zack loses his rented room, Billie invites him to move in with her. None of this sits too well with James, who tries to win Billie back only to discover that she’s now very involved with Zack.
