Nip/Tuck smoothly combines searing drama and humor as it revolves around the conflicts between two physicians who are partners and best friends: one a skirt-chasing doctor and the other a more subdued version. For the latter, a mother-in-law, for the other, problems of the heart that a patient is willing to cure: “The best way of getting over someone is to get on top of someone else.” Now, that’s a good one!
