It’s that time of the year again, Thanksgiving. And before anything else, I’s like to send out my Thanksgiving greetings to everyone reading this. The family gatherings, the food, the parties. Unforgettable scenes replicated and outdone every year. But aside for Thanksgiving itself, there are two other events that most of us look forward to at this time of the year – Black Friday and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

NBC is all set to launch its annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. A sneak peek of the highly-anticipated event has been released by the network
and it shows Spiderman airborne over New York once again, and a new Santa float making its return. Watch the video previews below.

Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade 2009 route. The route of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will be a little different this year. Hosted by Meredith Vieira, Matt Lauer and Al Roker, will bypass Broadway from 58th to 34th including TImes Square. After 82 years the Parade will be moving from Broadway to a new route along 7th Ave.

The Parade begins at 77th Street & Central Park West at 9am. The Parade will march south on Central Park West. At Columbus Circle, the Parade will then turn EAST onto Central Park South instead of heading down Broadway. When the Parade reaches 7th Avenue, it turns south at the corner of Central Park South and march to 42nd Street. The Parade will then travel east along 42nd Street from 7th to 6th Avenues. At 6th (Avenue of the Americas), it veers south to 34th Street. At 34th Street it heads west to Macy’s Herald Square and ends at 34th Street and Seventh Avenue at around noon.

The performers in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade include Andrea Bocelli, Boys Like Girls, Alan Cumming, Billy Currington, Jimmy Fallon, The Roots, Gloria Gaynor, Emily Hughes, Kermit the Frog and Tiffany Thornton, Jane Krakowski, Ziggy Marley with Judah Marley, Katharine McPhee, Miss America 2009 Katie Stam, the cast and Muppets of “Sesame Street”, Mitchel Musso, Keke Palmer, Jay Sean and Carly Simon.
