Explosions rock Catano, Puerto Rico. A large explosion has rocked the area of Catano, Puerto Rico near the capital city of San Juan. The explosions, earlier believed to be caused by the crash of an airliner from Florida, rocked the Gulf gasoline facility in Catano causing yet undetermined damage and injuries in the neighborhood. The explosion was so big that some people who were driving through the area were injured when their car windows were shattered by the explosion. It also damaged the pavement of a highway that passes
near the site.

According to a report by the Associated Press, a column of black smoke and flames were rising from the Caribbean Petroleum Corporation, a local gasoline depot and distribution center along the San Juan Bay coast that owns the Gulf brand in the country. Authorities said the cause and the scale of the damage were not immediately clear. Among the first responders to the scene were FBI agents investigating if the explosion was terrorism related.
