Sunderland is currently eighth in the English Premier League standings, West Ham second to the last. After a defeat to Birmingham City last week and a loss (on penalties) to Aston Villa in the League Cup, Sunderland hopes to bounce back against the struggling Eastenders.
West Ham is indeed struggling this season. Despite coming back to secure a draw against Arsenal last time out, the Eastenders remain mired in the bottom three, just two points off the bottom and without a win since the opening day. That’s right, opening day of the EPL 2009 season!
Who will prevail? Sunderland is the favored team here though they should not be too overconfident of a win over West Ham. The Eastenders may be close to the bottom of the standings but they are still capable of a good showing to beat their opponents. Sunderland, meanwhile, will be boosted by the return of Darren Bent from injury.
Possible starters for West Ham United: Green, Upson, Spector, Ilunga, Tomkins, Kovac, Noble, Behrami, Collison, Cole, Diamanti

Injury laden Everton host Aston Villa for a Premier League match this Saturday (October 31, Kick-off: 15:00 GMT, Goodison Park, Liverpool) for a chance to move up in the standings for both teams. For Villa, A win would propel them higher up than their current seventh position. For Everton, a win would be an enormous morale booster after suffering three straight defeats.
However, Aston Villa is the favorite to win this one. Everton’s record has not been very good
of late: a 2-0 loss to Tottenham, a 3-2 loss to Bolton and that 5-0 humiliation from Benfica.

Both teams are currently enjoying a good season so far with Arsenal currently placed third in the Premier League behind Chelsea and Manchester United, and Tottenham placed fourth. 19 points but the Gunners have better goal difference and a game in hand.
Who will win this battle? History may have to dictate this one as Arsenal has remained unbeaten against Tottenham in 19 Premier League games. The last time Tottenham won at Arsenal was at the back-end of the inaugural Premier League season, on 11 May 1993. And it is most likely that the result will be the same tomorrow, extending the winning streak to 20 EPL games.
Possible starters for Arsenal: Mannone, Sagna, Vermaelen, Gallas, Clichy, Eboue (Bendtner), Diaby (Eduardo), Fabregas, Song, Arshavin, Van Persie.
Subs not used: Almunia, Silvestre, Gibbs, Nasri, Ramsey.
Possible starters for Tottenham Hotspur: Gomes, Bassong, Corluka, Assou-Ekotto, Woodgate (Dawson 14), Huddlestone (Jenas 71), Lennon, Palacios, Kranjcar, Keane (Pavlyuchenko 63), Crouch.

What’s in store for us in Californication this week? here are a few details about the installment entitled Glass Houses: Karen visits L.A. with a plan to reunite her family and move back to New York City, which makes Hank happy but leaves Becca distraught over leaving her new best friend, Chelsea. Karen stops by Hank’s university class and gets an eyeful of the young ladies he is “teaching.” Charlie and Marcy once again make for strange bedfellows, but things hit a snag when his new client, Rick Springfield, appears to take an interest in Charlie’s girl.
