Five days before the official announcement, some of this year’s tandems in television’s most watched dance competition show are known. The 2009 Dancing with the Stars season 9 pairings are leaked. The DWTS pairs for season 9 were mostly leaked online through Twitter, with the participants themselves or their friends or relatives announcing their partners via Tweets.

The following tandems are now known: Karina Smirnoff is going to train Aaron Carter, Maksim Chmerkovskiy gets actress Debi Mazar, Mya gets Dmitry Chaplin, Ashley Hamilton Edyta Sliwinska, Tom
DeLay and Cheryl Burke, Natalie Coughlin and Alec Mazo, and Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson.

Osmond and Johnson’s pairing was announced by his son on Twitter, “Good luck on DWTS!!! You and Kym are going to win this season. You’ve got my vote every week! Love ya!” Similarly, Natalie Coughlin divulged her tandem with Mazo on Twitter. “We both went to Cal Berkeley and studied Psychology at the same time,” she stated. “Go Bears!”

One interesting pairs is that of Tom DeLay and Cheryl Burke. Burke, is a two-time champion and has helped Emmitt Smitt and Drew Lachey capture the mirror ball trophies. Will she be as successful with Delay?

Watch out for more leaks of the tandems this year. These are just seven pairs. Nine more to go.
