With the season finale fast approaching, the people behind So You Think You Can Dance 2009 (SYTYCD) have announced that the finalists of the popular reality-based competition show will start their national tour on September 20, 2009. The So You Think You Can Dance tour 2009 will kick off a 40-city series of shows from Manchester, New Hampshire to Everett, Washington. 19 Entertainment, Dick Clark productions and AEG Live have likewise announced that SYTYCD Tour tickets are now on sale. For many of the show’s fans, the tour is a much-anticipated event as this will give them the opportunity to watch their dance idols up close and in person. Finalists participating include your Season 5 Top 10 dancers, Ade, Brandon, Evan, Janette, Jason, Jeanine, Kayla, Kupono, Melissa, and Randi.

In a statement released earlier, Simon Fuller, creator and executive producer of the hit Fox show, said: “For five years we have seen the popularity of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ steadily grow and we are thrilled to showcase our unique talent for thousands of fans across the country. With the show premiering again this fall, the tour creates the unique opportunity for fans to watch the high caliber dancing from their living room one night and then attend a live performance the following night.”
