Who is Nicholas Stefanov, alias Nick Stefanov (photos below), and why is he such a hit on the internet search engines, I asked myself. A little web surfing and I found my answer. Apparently, the poor guy was not only dumped (too common nowadays) by his socialite older woman girlfriend, he was also allegedly assaulted by her during the break up. But what so newsworthy about that? Well, the older woman is 40-year old Kelly Bensimon, otherwise known as Kelly Killoren Bensimon from The Real Housewives on New York City season 2! Seems like reality is much more newsworthy than reality TV!
Nicholas Stefanov has filed assault charges against Bensimon after she allegedly hit him during an altercation last week in the latter posh apartment in New York. He allegedly suffered a black eye and a cut on his cheek because of the incident while she got a fat lip. Stefanov fled her apartment on Centre Street after the Tuesday morning incident and reported the matter to cops at the 5th Precinct station. Bensimon surrendered two days later and was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault. She’s due in court March 31. Her attorneys have denied the charges and called them mere “allegations of a jilted lover.”
While many of us have seen how hot Kelly Bensimon looks like on television, most of us are curious about the appearance of her former boyfriend. So here they are, photos of Nicholas Stefanov gathered from cyberspace.

Maytag recall details: Maytag refrigerator recall announced

Is your refrigerator part of the Maytag recall announced recently? A sweeping recall of Maytag refrigerators has been announced by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Maytag affecting more than 1.6 million units sold in the United States from January 2001 through January 2004 for between about $350 and $1600. This is due to an electrical failure in the relay, the component that turns on the refrigerator’s compressor, can cause overheating and pose a serious fire hazard. As of this date, Maytag has received forty-one (41) confirmed reports of refrigerator relay ignition, including sixteen (16) reports of property damage ranging from smoke damage to extensive kitchen damage. These cases prompted the recall of the units in question.
Is your refrigerator included in the recall? There is one way to find out an that’s by checking your unit. The recall
includes certain Maytag®, Magic Chef®, Jenn-Air®, Amana®, Admiral®, Performa by Maytag® and Crosley® brand side by side and top freezer refrigerators. The affected refrigerators were manufactured in black, bisque, white and stainless steel. Check the model and serial numbers printed on a label located on the top middle or left upper side of the refrigerator liner and have the following model and serial number combinations:

Lil Kim on DWTS 2009 / Lil Kim Dancing with the Stars video

Paired with the reigning champion of Dancing with the Stars is Lil Kim, dedicating her opening dance of DWTS 2009 to “all my girls in the Federal Detention Center.” And if you missed the premiere of Dancing with the Stars this season, we have the video of Lil Kim’s number with Derek Hough complete with the intro and some choice scene from their practice and run up to the actual performance.
Lil’ Kim is a Grammy Award winning American multi-platinum rapper and singer. Among her achievements in the world of music are the
following: Her 2005 album, The Naked Truth, was awarded the 5 mics award from The Source magazine, making it the first album by any female rapper to achieve that rating. She is the first female rapper to have a number 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit. In addition, Lil Kim is also one of three female rappers to have a number 1 Billboard Hot 100 hit which was 2001’s Lady Marmalade, with Christina Aguilera, Pink, & Mýa.
We hope she’ll achieve the same degree of success on the dance floor this season on Dancing with the Stars 2009. And with Derek Hough as her partner, she may just end up a champion.

Have you seen the new White House swing set? Malia and Sasha Obama’s swing set is the envy of every kid in the nation after news broke out that Barack and Michelle Obama surprised their two daughters with the new contraption on the White House grounds recently. According to reports, Malia and Sasha shrieked in delight when they saw the swing set after they got home from school this week. Who wouldn’t? It was a gem, and any kid (or even adult) would love having one at home.
It’s part of the Obama’s plan to make their kids feel more at home in the presidential
residence. Previous presidents have done the same with their young children. The Kennedys also had a swing set for their children during their term while President Jimmy Carter reportedly even helped out in making a tree house for daughter Amy. The Obamas considered five manufacturers before selecting South Dakota-based Rainbow Play Systems Inc., according to the company’s Illinois distributor. The couple chose the classic “Rainbow Castle” because it was made in the United States and one of the girls’ Chicago friends had a similar set, the distributor said.
The cedar and redwood playground boasts four swings, a slide, a fort and a climbing wall. It also has a picnic table with brass plates etched with the names of all 44 presidents.
The set typically costs about $3,500, according to Joanie Barrus, Rainbow’s Illinois distributor. The Obamas’ actual price tag was not released, but Barrus said they paid for it themselves.

Sure, the Scoot Coupe is one hell of a thrifty ride but I wouldn’t be caught dead riding, much

Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney/Jason Mesnick Bachelor

Who did Jason Mesnick pick in The Bachelor? Did he pick Melissa Rycroft or Molly Malaney? It was Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney in the end but it was not like that at first. Despite knowing the feeling of getting dumped on national television when DeAnna Pappas did it to him in The Bachelorette, Jason apparently hasn’t learned his lesson. He first chose Melissa Rycroft in the finale of the Bachelor last night. However, he later dumped her in favor of Molly, saying that he realized that Molly is his true love.
Jason Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft, a 25 year old Dallas native and former cherrleader. He then revealed on “After the Final Rose” that the chemistry changed with Melissa over the weeks after the end of the show, and that he still loves Molly Malaney. Melissa was brought out, he broke up with her, and she returned the engagement ring crying and inconsolable – all this on national television. Molly was then brought out, he asked for another chance with her, and she accepted.
Jason Mesnick was recently a guest on “Jimmy Kimmel” and explained what happened behind the scenes. He told Jimmy Kimmel that the chemistry was different between him and Melissa. “I had to do it. Before we walked out for the After the Final Rose, we were not together. … She knew exactly what was going on but we could not see each other before that so we had to have the conversation on the phone. …So I had to do it in front of everybody. And I hated that. If I could have done it, you know with her in person one on one, of course that’s the right thing to do. But my relationship was agreed by everybody involved to be done in front of everybody else.”
Jimmy Kimmel asked The Bachelor why he proposed marriage to Melissa Rycroft in the first place and Jason replied that Melissa was exactly what he wanted at the time. However, he did not want to lead Melissa on so he had to end it. Jason also revealed on “Jimmy Kimmel” that before the “After the Final Rose”, Jason already had revealed to Melissa that he wanted to break up with her.

CSI season 9 episode 16: Taylor Swift CSI 9.16, Turn, Turn, Turn

Taylor Swift appears in this week’s “Turn, Turn, Turn”, CSI season 9 episode 16 / CSI episode 9.16. Taylor Swift guests as the character named Haley Jones, a teenage girl whose family manages a seedy Las Vegas motel. In this installment, the investigators are called to a motel after a series of murders over in a span of one year. Presented in flashbacks, each of the murders are investigated by the team with Nick befriending and inevitably getting closer to Haley as each investigation progresses. However, Taylor Swift’s
Haley Jones becomes the next murder victim and Nick has a hard time dealing with it, blaming himself. According to one spoiler, will find out about her death on his birthday. Nick “breaks down at the end, thinking he could have prevented her death if only he had tried harder on those other cases.” Watch this dramatic installment when CSI episode s09e16 with Taylor Swift airs later this week.

the 840-pound emerald found / $400 million Bahia emerald

Do you know what an 840-pound emerald looks like? Have you heard of the $400 million Bahia emerald that was reported stolen last year? Well, here it is, the 840-pound emerald as uncovered by the Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s Department in a warehouse somewhere in Los Angeles just before Christmas last year. The precious haul was reported stolen last year and the police is eager to return it to its proper owner. However, that has not been easy to establish as several people are claiming ownership of the gem. Valued at a little less than $400 million when appraised in Brazil last year, the Bahia emerald is now temporarily in the hands of the police pending resolution of its ownership by the court. Lt. Grubb, who had spent the bulk of his 26-year career conducting narcotics investigations, first got onto the case last September. A distraught man named Larry Biegler had called the sheriff’s office to say that his giant emerald had been stolen from a Los Angeles-area warehouse where he had been keeping it. It was worth nearly $400 million, he said.
Lt. Grubb’s detectives began investigating.
The emerald, they determined, was in the possession of two businessmen named Todd Armstrong and Kit Morrison, whom detectives tracked to a small town called Eagle, in western Idaho. When the detectives arrived in Eagle, Mr. Armstrong was in the process of trying to sell the emerald to a buyer. “We’ve run into a small snag,” Mr. Armstrong says he told his buyer.
The Idaho men said the emerald belonged to them. They said in an interview they paid Mr. Biegler $1 million for diamonds he never delivered. Mr. Biegler had put the emerald up as collateral, they say, for the stones. When the diamonds didn’t materialize, they picked up the emerald from the warehouse in Los Angeles. They showed investigators a stack of documents they said prove their claim.
Mr. Biegler — a gem broker and real-estate investor — disputes that account. He says he kept up his end of the diamond deal, and claims the Idaho men agreed to pay $80 million for the emerald, which he was willing to sell at that price.

Rachael: The P-R person at Food Network said we actually have an unusual request from F-H-M magazine. And I thought about it-I think I was thirty-five at the time. Thirty-four or thirty five. And I thought about it for a while, and I said, you know what? This magazine has as young as seventeen, eighteen-year-olds in hottie bikinis, and these are all actresses, models, pin-up girls. I don’t belong to any, even remote, club of theirs. And I thought if I’m gutsy enough to do this, this is a good thing for everybody. This is the everywoman, here she is. And I thought, what the heck? I asked my husband what he thought of it and he said, [giggles] oh, kinda cool. And I did it and it was the most scared I’ve ever been and I wouldn’t change a thing. I’d do it again tomorrow.
Cynthia: Now I heard your mother told you not to do it.
Rachael: My mother was furious. Remains furious. You don’t have to do that kind of trash, you don’t need to sell yourself that way, blah blah blah. I was proud of it. And I would do it again, even though my mom would be really mad at me. I know she still loves me.
